Terms of use

The agreement

These terms are an agreement between you and Enes Gunumdogdu, established in Türkiye, who makes Territory Tactics under the name EG Studio ("we"). They cover the game played in a browser, its apps for iPhone, iPad and Mac, and this website.

By playing the game you accept these terms. If you do not agree with them, please do not play.

What you get

Territory Tactics is free to play, for your own enjoyment, on any device it runs on. You do not need an account, and we do not ask who you are.

You are welcome to share screenshots and videos of your matches and to stream the game, including on channels that earn money.

What we ask of you

• Play fair. Do not interfere with a room, with the room server or with other people's matches, and do not try to break or overload the service.
• Choose a name others can live with. The name you type is shown to everyone in your room: no insults, no threats, nothing hateful, and no pretending to be somebody else.
• Do not copy, sell or hand on the game or parts of it, and do not present it as your own.
• If you are too young to agree to terms like these where you live, play only with the permission of a parent or guardian.

We may close a room, or keep someone out of the service, if these rules are broken.

Who owns what

The game, its name, its logo, its pictures, sounds, code and words belong to Enes Gunumdogdu or are used under licence. These terms give you the right to play the game, not to own any of it.

The maps are made from Natural Earth's public-domain map data and simplified for play. The borders, names and groupings on them are a game board, and take no side in any political or territorial question.

The game as it is

We make the game with care, but we offer it as it is. We do not promise that it will always be available, that it is free of faults, or that it will stay the way it is today. We may change it, add to it, or stop offering it.

What the game keeps for you (your profile, your rank, your achievements) is kept on your own device and can be lost, for example when a browser's data is cleared. A room closes when its players have left. The privacy policy says exactly what is kept and where.

Our responsibility to you

Nothing in these terms takes away a right the law of your country gives you as a consumer, or limits our liability where the law does not allow it to be limited.

Apart from that, and as far as the law allows: the game is free, and we are not liable for loss that follows from using it or from not being able to use it, such as lost progress, lost data or lost time.

The apps

If you get the game as an app from Apple's App Store or through TestFlight, Apple's own terms for those services apply to you as well. Apple is not a party to these terms and is not responsible for the game.

Changes to these terms

We may change these terms when the game changes. The date at the top of the page is the date of the version you are reading. If you go on playing after a change, the new terms apply to you.

Which law applies

These terms are governed by the law of Türkiye. If you are a consumer, you keep the protection of the rules of the country you live in that cannot be set aside by agreement, and you may bring a dispute before the courts there.
